Barry Staunton - No One Knows

    3:56

Off we go kicking stones down the road,
With our fishing rods in hand,
Down to the banks of the old town,
Hear our whistles in the wind,
Take one last look around you,
    Before this feeling goes,
This old town is changing now,
But for the better no one knows

    We cannot fight it,
It makes us just who we are,
No matter how long we go,
    We're never too far

We would climb the old empty houses,
When there was no one around,
But age soon passed them by,
So they came and knocked them down,
All i see now are memories,
They're too good to let them go,
And the world keeps moving on,
For the better no one knows

    We cannot fight it,
It makes us just who we are,
No matter how long we go,
    We're never too far

There was so much to talk about,
    To laugh about and pretend,
    And when tomorrow came around,
    We'd do it all again,
Can't count the years on your fingers,
Its such a long time ago,
All we are is just a stitch in time,
For the better no one knows

    We cannot fight it,
It makes us just who we are,
No matter how long we go,
    We're never too far
